Located on Newport’s Historic River Walk between the L&N and Taylor Southgate bridges, Newport-on-the-Levee has become a catalyst for the renaissance of the city of Newport, Kentucky. The 10-acre entertainment district is located on the Ohio River. KLH Engineers provided engineering and design of the mechanical and electrical systems for this multi-phase project. This unique retail/entertainment complex consists of nine separate buildings, all of which share a common two-level plaza, housing over 400,000 SF of retail and entertainment spaces, including the Newport Aquarium. Below this project is a four-level, 552,000 SF, completely enclosed 2,000 car parking garage. KLH provided engineering design services for the parking facility as well, including fire protection sprinkler systems.
